The Walk Had An Appearance 

Of A Floating Presence. 

The Girls Had A Chance To Fill In 

And Become Their Standing In Society. 

That Was Dropped With The Hippy Movement. 

Woman's Rights Groups Burned Clothing And Bras. 

By The Late 1960's Dresses Were Flat Bags. 

Leaving Nothing To The Imagination. 

As Flip Wilson Was Playing Geraldine Jones, 

What You See, Is What You Get. 

It Was Reduce Costs And Increase Profits. 

The The Dresses And Skirts No Longer Had A Real Lining,

The Production Time Was Cut By 70 Percent.

The Surplus Was Shipped To Discount Stores, 

At Jobber Rates. 

The Patterns Reflected The Changes And Left The Lining 

For The Bare Fabric Choice, To The Operator Of Design.

Since, This Was Done In Homes, Many Placed In A Lining. 

So, The Garment Would Have A Better Feel Wearing. 

The Stores Were Worried The Cheapen Items, 

Not Selling To The General Public. 

At The Right Price, Everything Sells. 

Finishing Was Left To The Consumer. 

The Dresses Unlined Became Rags After A Few Wears.

Higher Priced Manufactures Continued Lining.

There Are Still Three Levels Of Finishing. 

Over And Out
